Dream Theater + an Orchestra= Goosebumps!

Wow, this is truly an impressive DVD with impressive content. Dream Theater goes through every single album they have ever produced and even have a song from when they used to be majesty. This is truly an amazing DVD, with set 1 of the first disk being great, but set 2 is where the excitement really picks up. In set 2 the orchestra comes out and Dream Theater plays the entire second CD of Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. This is truly a spectacle! Octavarium was simply great with an orchestra and watching Jordan Rudess play the continuum was simply awe inspiring! Sacrifice Sons was truly touching and i can only imagine how it must have felt to hear that in New York. Dream theater + orchestra = epic

Amazing dvd if you like dream theater. Full orchestra for later half is epic. Bonus features are good. Showing its age a little in the quality but still very watchable

One of my Best Music DVD's yet...

What made me decide to purchase this DVD was I was flipping through my High Definition channels one day and came across the high-def music channel. Low and Behold, Dream Theater was on. I was just blown away! These guys are old school and they ROCKED IT! Video angles on the DVD is awesome. Sound quality at its best. Just the overall footage is amazing. Great Concert DVD + tons of extras!!

I love this dvd. I got it for myself as a christmas present.the concert is great and the sounds is amazing coming through my surround sounds system. The concert itself rocks with every song. The extras on the second disc are great as well. This is a great dvd. I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Dream Theater or just likes good rock music. A great 20th anniversary tour. a MUST-HAVE for every musician

Regardless of your particular taste in music, Dream Theater overexceeds once again. The virtuosity with which they execute their superbly written music is glaringly obvious from the first note through the curtain call. This live-recorded performance with a full symphony is a must-have for any musician, and ALL fans of progressive rock. There are only a few people alive capable of writing and performing at this level, and it is a treat for your senses to watch 5 such gifted people simultaneously.

Dream Theater DVD review

This is now my favorite music DVD. The musicianship of this band is amazing, and this live recording with either 2 channel or 5.1 surround options is mastered very well, it is in fact a little on the hot side for those who will want to crank it...you probably will. I would however have liked to see them play along with the orchestra (who at times were off-key anyway) for their 1812 overture as it was in the studio recording.Read full review...
