Great product, fast shipping, decent price!

If your a fan of the old style of humor, then the Marx Brothers are for you. This movie is completely off the wall with Groucho playing the ruler of Freedonia, a bankrupt country looking to pull itself out of a recession. Given the introduction to the illustrious Rufus T. Firefly, he starts off with a song about how broke the country is and if they think he's going to fix it then they haven't got a clue about him. Reminds of of some current politcians in office right? Well, the skits are pretty goofy with Chico and Harpo messing around with a vendor in the streets and also with a telephone skit that has Harpo answering the phone with a bunch of horns. I liked the movie and have always been a fan of these comedians and if you like this movie you will love to watch 'A Night at the Opera,' 'A Day at the Races,' and 'A Night in Casablanca.'Read full review...

Manic fun, frenetically paced. If you liked Mel Brooks' YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, you likely love this.

My favorite comedy, this antiwar satire of European pomposity was so badly received in 1933 that the Marx Brothers lost their Paramount contract. Contains the brilliant pantomime in front of the "mirror," in which Chico, dressed as Groucho, mimics Groucho's every move. This classic bit was later repeated with great success on I LOVE LUCY and THE BENNY HILL SHOW. Another bit of film history, as Raquel Torres, a beautiful Latina in a MAJOR role, wears a dress so low cut, you would not see the likes of which again until the HAMMER horror films of the 1950s. This is Hollywood, before the Production Code.Read full review...

Funny !!

A great movie with comedy at every turn, timing is also spot on. Characters are silly but there is till a plot to the movie among all the laughter and silliness. For fans of this comedy group this is a good movie for anyone of any age. A wonderful addition for your collection., Read full review...

Groucho's comment on the film.

Years ago when Graucho Marx was old and feeble this film was shown by the LA museum of Modern Art with Marx in the audience. He was asked to comment on the film after its showing. He commented " I never realized how silly it was". A true story.Read full review...
