Exalted, indeed

For a group just starting to play D&D, the core rulebooks often contain more than enough information to really delve into the world and have loads of fun. For the people who want to go that little extra mile, however, there's supplemental books like this. The Book of Exalted Deeds takes a character's lawful and/or good alignment and pushes it over and beyond the next level, turning them into an icon of justice, holiness, and heroism. I would highly recommend it for people that really get into the roleplaying aspect of the game, because it offers you so many opportunities to broaden your horizons. The exalted feats and sacred vows listed within also shifts the paradigm of how your character would perform in the game as opposed to a typical good-aligned player. You could choose to completely eschew all of the things that other players typically go for (treasure, companionship, magical equipment, etc.) and still become a paragon of intense strength. For anyone really looking to mix up their roleplaying experience, I would absolutely recommend this supplemental.Read full review...

Good book for exalted characters

I enjoyed, and still enjoy the book. It gives a lot of options for good aligned characters to employ. Some seem a little stronger than normal options, but finally you get something good for doing good (usually most options are power for the evil).Read full review...

Book of Exalted Deeds, Ok, but not necessary

There are some good feats and it can add interesting good aligned stuff. I'm not sorry I have it, but in whole it seemed like a very skippable 3.5 book.
