Awesome Game!

This game takes the awsome fighting of the Dynasty Warriors games and mixes it with the strategic taking of land that the Romance of The Three Kingdoms brings. You can fight your way and win the land territory by territory or you can attack the territory with that nations leader to take control of that whole nation until all of China is in your hands. You fight your way through all the scenarios that the three kingdoms era brings from the yellow turban rebellion to the fall of the kingdoms. Another great feature is if you own Dynasty Warriors 5 Xtreme Legends the characters that you created automatically get downloaded into the game. Pretty good game

Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires is pretty fun. If you've never played a DW game, this might be a good one to start. If you've played them before, then expect more of the same really. This game does improve over the 4th empires game however, as it adds new features like tactics, that can really make a difference on the higher difficulty settings.

It also adds more strategy, as every officer under your command can't be picked whenever you're attacking/defending. They have to be in said territory, or in the one next to it. So if you only have the generic officers, or very few officers overall, you might find yourself in trouble.

Good game overall, I bought it because I am a fan. If you aren't, then you should consider renting it first or something. If you liked the other ones and aren't tired of the same hack 'n slash then, this game is for you.Read full review...

If you enjoy action with a touch of strategy, this is the game for you.

It is not necessarially challenging on the strategy end of the game, but improved over Dynasty Warriors 4 Empires by allowing more direct control over the options available during the non-fighting stages. As you decide on policies (supporting the people or dictating them), more powerful and effective options are made available as the game continues based on being a "good" or "evil" leader.

As far as the action goes, there are many officers to choose from and the game play is very open. This is a kind of game that will never be played the same way twice.Read full review...

Dynasty Warriors games are the best

This game was already owned once by my family-they loved it so much I had to replece it when it stopped working. The Dynasty Warriors collection of games are #1 in my families book. We have owned every game for every system...not only loved by my two boys and husband but my daughter and I have also fallen victim to its allure. The review title is self-explanitory. Wow. I LOVE this game (and most of the time it loves me back). The strategist control (you know, the empire mode and army commands and what not) is AWESOME. I really hope most of the people who played this game (or maybe even others in the Dynasty Warriors series) had a great experience like myself. Dynasty Warriors Is AWSOME!

WOW I love Dynasty Warriors! This was my favorite series before but the other DW games cannot even compair to this one. It is just insane once you start you just can't stop. You never get sick of it since you build your own army it never gets old and you can never play the same exact level twice. So it is not like you just beat a game you liked but if you start it over it is just the same thing. No DW5 Empires is never the same so you never get sick of it.Read full review...
