I had moved into a new apartment which was cold. I wanted a Dyson heater/fan but couldn't bring myself to paying full retail for a new unit. Fantastic fan. It's lightweight and very easy to move between rooms. I use mine in my windowless home office during the day and as my bedside fan at night and it gives a good cooling breeze (concentrated or at a wider angle) in the rooms I use it in. I would not purchase this if you are looking for a quiet device.
