Getting active through EA

This is a typical game for people trying to get themselves in shape. I'm a person that likes customizable workouts. This is great b/c it tracks your heartrate and unlike the others ea active games...not every exercise requires the remote. That's super convenient.Read full review...

Like it but it won't ready movements

Every time I get to the point of using the resistance bands it won't read my movements at all and I have to keep restarting it. It took me 2 hours to get through 1 exercise set. I would love for that to be fixed. I tried changing batteries, re-setting my Wii, changing controllers, turning everything off and on. It read every other exercise but the band parts.Read full review...

Decent product for keeping fit!

Great exercise game! I bought it for days I can't get to the YMCA and it more than meets expectations. Gets you warmed up and sweating in no time. I was skeptical at first, I hate Wii Fit because its too childish, this game is like an exercise video that you work along with. The heart rate monitor helps you control your pace, I don't like the resistance bands that it came with but you can get hand weights instead and also change the setting to hand weights so the person that is "you" on the screen has them.

This game also work with the Wii balance board but I think its better without it because its not used very much and it interrupts your workout when the board shuts off when not used for awhile. The board is most useful for accurate weight. All in all, 4/5 star game.

EA did it again :-)

I purchased the orginial EA Sports Active last year, and was thrilled with it. With diet and EASA I lost 45 lbs and has kept it off. I recently purchased the EASA 2 and have also been very pleased. I love that this version has Core workouts. The heart rate monitor is great!! ...... The only thing I dont like is that the Wii Remote is rarely used and therefore loses communication with console frequently, which makes me have to stop working out to press the "A" button. Other than that its a kick ass workout that brings on the sweat!!!! I highly recommend this product. Good Job EA Sports Active!!!!Read full review...

Pretty good.

Pretty good dam good game for a work out I cant really compare it to another game this is the first interactive work out game I have ever done.
Thought the game would be kind of cheesy and manufactured and dull and I was right but it. The game is not to original and kind of robotic but it gets the job done and dose challenge you so it is worth it, the heart rate monitor is a nice tool to have so you can always try to push yourself harder or know when to take it easy.
One malfunction in the game I noticed is on the warm up and cool down is a time when you don't require a Wii remote. Sometimes it will say lost connection with wii remote it gets you out of your rhythm,of what you are doing at the moment and can be quite annoying if it keeps happening. Besides the robotic feel and small bug with wii remote is quite a good game.

BUY IT !!!

It' very good. The exercices are varied. There is bug with the Wii board, so I disabled it. And the remote give messages too often: "The connection with the ..." so once in a while I have to quit my workout and press the A button. I wish there was possible to play your regular course with 2 players. But it won't register to your regular training if you play 2 players. 2P mode is worth it. But, there is a but, there is less functions. Like skip exercice. When you train with someone who can't finish well, you have to help them, because you can't. Adjusting the number of repetitions. The list goes on on improvement they could do. But the formula since the first one never really changed. The First one is my favorite. The 2nd one is more challenging than the 1st one. And the 3th one is quite challenging, Make sure if you do the 9 weeks program that you have 1h to train. Becuase it's never going to be as quick as they pretend. On easy, when you reach level 3, you will need 45 min to 1h of training. The game is well balanced, it give you, to work hard, like, stride jump, racing then 55 mountain climber then some boxing to relax or skipping. You will get in shape that is sure with that game. When you make your own program, you can choose advanced stuff like 220 stride jump, that is alot. There is way more exercices with the band than all the others. Get it, get in shape, stick to it. You can still get the 3 other games they made from that serie, they all worth it.Read full review...

Awesome Workout Game

I absolutely love this workout game. It makes me sweat and it pushes me to work hard every day. I love the 9 week challenge, it helps build my muscles and helps me grow on moving forward in working out on my own in a gym. I've lost 35 pounds so far! :)Read full review...

Amazing excercise game better than WII FIT

This game is an excellent addition to anyone's workout routine. This game allows you to work out in various time segments, so no matter how busy you get you can fit time into work out. The arm band that runs as a heart rate monitor is extremely incredible and accurate, as is the leg band both are very comfortable. The game play is realistic and also allows you to create your own character (complete with hair style, and clothing choices). The exercises range from strenuous to comfortable which can be very appealing to those starting out like myself. The graphics/motions for the activities are useful and after the work out you can feel the burn. With unique features like online play/tracking and a fitness journal it is no wonder this game is out of this world. Comparitively to games like the WII FIT and other work out games this game is by far the best. It is the best because it pushes you to the limit, works out various muscles and allows you to keep track of your fitness progress/goals in a fun easy to use set up. Did I mention its also affordable?! GO GET IT THIS IS THE BEST FITNESS PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE :]Read full review...

Feel the Burn!

Wow. This makes Wii Fit Pus (which I also own) look like a joke. Sure, the controls are not perfect, and at times you may find yourself frustrated, bit you will feel the burn. I have been using this for over a week now, and have lost 3lbs and feel great. You will sweat, you will feel the burn, and yes, you will be sore. The daily surveys really hold you accountable for how well you eat, sleep, and play. No shortcuts are allowed in this game. You really do work your body to the peak levels if you stick with it. What do you have to lose, except weight and maybe a few pants sizes? My waistline went from a 35in to a 34in in a week. Set your own goals and keep at it and you will see results too.Read full review...

Good product - haven't lost interest in it. Routines are engaging...

Active 2 Wii is a great exercise game. Its entertaining. There is some problems with the arm and leg sensors. The game will periodically stop and make you respond to a prompt if the sensor is not picked up. It occurs every time I run the program. A typical routine is 15-30 minutes so this problem can be irritating. I thought I had a bad sensor so I purchased another one through Ebay. Performance improved but it was still a problem. If it was not for that I would have rated it 5 stars.Read full review...

Go for it! and use it frequently!

I bought this product to use my Wii for daily exercises and bring some kind of fun into my exercises.
The variety of the exercises are great. Starting from basics to specific, themed exercises such as boxing, soccer or basketball. The best is boxing -I really recommend it. If you feel that it is not tough enough repeat them several times and combine with some upper body exercises. If you are looking for real challenge, buy some dumbbells (0.5kg to 1.5kg) or wrist-weight and punch using them.

The game has several built in exercise plans prompting you to be active more or less every day.
Regarding the sensor: the arm end leg sensor are working very well. The arm sensor includes a heart rate monitor giving more accurate calorie burn figures and feedback how intense is your exercise.

A minor disadvantage, which probably applies for all the Wii games, the graphic is not comparable to the fitness games available on the platforms of the competitors.

Regarding the price, it cost way less than one month membership fee at a gym, so you cannot loose much.
