Step-By-Step
Had this and other Emberly books as a kid. I wasn't a natural artist but I could follow clear directions, so it was gratifying to have someone actually show you how to put everything together to make a recognizable face.
It's not _Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain_, but most kids just want to know how to draw a clown and get the idea across, or get ideas for little things to doodle in the margins. I got a copy for a younger family member and am glad to see it's still being appreciated.Read full review...

Great way to train a potential artist in your young kid!
Great product, I used a copy from our Library and finally I got me one. So far, I have used in preschoolers. They learn to follow instructions, by reading the basic drawing symbols. At this young age, the kid is happy to learn that with basic circles, triangles and other shapes, he can create these wonderful characters. These young kids are also happy to be able to reproduce such shapes/
