step up from the blue pump?

this "seems " like a good pump so far and i hope to have years of good service like i did with the blue pump i replaced with this. this was advertised as internally regulated and it is but @ 16 lbs not 7 lbs you still need an external regulator for it. it also is made to be run dead head but i have a return line from my regulator and it dosnt seem to bother. it is much quieter than the blue pump but time will tell if it will last 11 years like the BP did.Read full review

FOLLOW THEIR INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER!

Like some MSD/Mallory units, these pumps have a gyro-rotor gear-type of pumping mechanism that is extremely prone to seizing up with the slightest intrusion of debris or pipe tape. All npt fittings need to be sealed with a proper compound and NOT thread tape! DO NOT use gasket maker sealers either! A 40-micron filter needs to also be used on the inlet. If you ignore these particulars, your pump will fail in short order. Same goes for similar style MSD/Mallory pumps.Read full review
