Electrolux EL6986A UltraSilencer Canister Vacuum Green

My energy saving gift.

I just received this vacuum and I was amazed! It is so quiet while running and a wiz in sucking up dust. I have not been able to vacuum my whole house at one time in several years and this little jewel was less effort than using a broom on tile. My whole house was vacuumed in less than 2 hours and unlike with the older vacuum I didn't need a break between rooms
My old vacuum was a gift from my daughter and it was like having another child in the house. The only tool it carried was the brush for shelves. This one has all the attachments attached at your finger tips. It has powerful suction and very lightweight. My only disappointment is the turbo nozzle, it said that it would clean low pile carpet and rugs but my carpet in the living room is not even 1/2" high and the nozzle acts like it is deep pile. So I may try the other nozzle next time on it and see how it does.
Over all it is wonderful. I like knowing that I will not have to deal with dumping dust and having it fly back in the house I can just lift the lid and discard the bag and put in a new one and forget it. It takes a whole closet to store the vacuum I was using but this one I can store in a cabinet if I choose to. I vacuumed picture frames and baseboards and all in between. Thank you Electrolux.
I used an Electrolux for over 30 years and always felt my home was clean when I finished using it. I have that same feeling today. I made the mistake of loaning it to my daughter-in-law and when they moved over 1500 miles away I said oh well she is taking care of my grand-daughter so I just accepted the fact that it was a gift. It was old enough that none of us had heard of Hepa filters, etc. I see how easy it is to exchange the heap filter and the air filter in this and am so glad I will not have to use our entire tool box to do that. I carry the only tool I need at the end of my arm.
