My daughter had me watch Empire for the first time. It took only one episode and i was hooked.
This show is all about the entertainment business and how competitive the recording labels are. The characters are outstanding, and the show is filled with genuine talent. The soundtrack is great. All that said well then comes Cookie Lyon. She is absolutely out of her mind and extremely street smart. You will love her. Every word that comes out of her mouth is worth watching just for that alone. Her ex husband Lucious Lyon is like Victor Newman on steroids. The whole Lyon family is very talented. Just watch the show and you will end up watching all of season one in a weekend. Then you will be bummed when you have to wait a week for another episode in season 2.
