If you like Dragons
The story is well written about a boy (Eragon) who finds a dragon egg and eventually becomes a rider of a dragon. Now that he has a dragon he can take on the evil king and his minons. Here is where the story crosses over almost directly mimicing "Star Wars". Enter the beautiful princess and wise mentor Jeremy Irons. As the movie gathers steam more characters join the small force to over throw the King and restore the Kingdom. If you liked Star Wars it will be an enjoyable journey.

The story line was thin! It was one dimensional and flat.
For a really good movie in this line, view Dragonheart. This is a full bodied, well flushed movie, fully developed beginning to lead you through the story line and hold you to the end.
The only reason I kept watching Eragon was that I was hoping for more. This movie truly needs a well developed sequel to finished what it started and fill in the blanks of the first.Read full review...
Eragon Movie
This movie is a good movie in of itself. The problem with it is that it does not follow the story of the book very well at all. A lot of plot elements were either left out or distorted too much. It was very frustrating to watch. The thing that bothered me the most about it is that if they wanted to make a movie out of the book Eldest (the sequel to Eragon) it would be impossible because they messed up the plot so much that it's not open to a sequel that would be accurate in any way.Read full review...

It is a good clean show that was fun to watch. The story was good. It was about a young man that is chosen by a dragon to be its rider. There is a wicked king who is seeking to kill eragon (the boy) but eragon evades his assasins and helps a group of freedom fighters beat the kings first man. I recommend it.Read full review...

I love this movie! I love the whole theme about dragon's, and dragon riders! This movie is a great action flick, It's one of those movies I will watch over and over agin!

This is the firist fantasy book I've read. My granddaughter told me to read it. I liked it. It was full of action I've finished reading Eldest and now reading the third book. They are excellant.

If you are looking for a boy turned man in an hour and a half then this is it. Its just a plain movie, no frills or thrills just a movie that is ended with a chance of a to be continued...although I think that if it is continued it will be a t.v. mini series.Read full review...
