As Charming As It Gets

This movie for me, I can watch it right away after I just watched it. I realized that is probably the criteria for my favorite of all time movies. Drew Barrymore is so believable as the heroine story we share to our daughters to persevere and believe in ourselves that dreams do come true if we stay true to ourselves with integrity, trust, and honor along the way. Loved It

The DVD played wonderfully. No fuzz. No freezes. Plus, the story is top-notch. Does away with the magic and replaces it with realism and the traditional passed-this-down-from-relative-to-relative belief. (which will be needed to make noticing the artistic licenses not drive one into a mad frenzy) Character development is utilized especially Prince Henry, who learns to think of others and not see things in a black-and-white way. One of the best!!

This is one of the very best movies that my husband and I have ever seen. All of the characters were perfectly cast, and the acting is superb. Even though we've seen it several times, we still don't know what scene is coming next, so we never get tired of watching it. LOVE THIS MOVIE

I am not the romantic type at all, but i did fall in love with this movie. It's a retelling of the the Cinderella story.
The characters are great. Angelica Houston as the stepmother is great. Drew Barrymore is plays the cinder girl well.

When I want to relax and just enjoy a movie

I have a high stress job as an attorney and I am reading regulations, writing briefs and staying on top of the world generally. I subscribe to several magazines and I combine the must reads with the mindless but interesting reads--from Time to People. There are times when I just need to have a good movie around that I know by heart but love to watch anyway along the genre of Sleepless in Seattle, You've got mail etc. Whenever I find Ever After on the television it is now generally on a commercial station, parts cut out and commercial so I bought it for my own entertainment. I have serious movies and like to watch them also, as I belong to Netflix, but sometimes I just need to turn off my mind and watch an enjoyable fairy tale plus the male lead is not bad to look at either and Drew is very good as Cinderella. I love the ending and what the woman states for the final sentence of the movie--you would have to see the whole movie as I won't tell you. This is not a movie for elitist's that would dismiss this as trivial, definitely a chic flick and I always love a happy ending.

Excellent Movie: Ever After

Gotta love the girlie girl movies! This one is excellant. It has it all !
Super to watch over & over again. I couldn't afford cable for 5 years & only bought movies during that time. It was great to watch something with my girls. Quality mom & daughter time together. Little girls need hope & dreams. They need to know that there are happy endings! Real life can be such a downer. You need inspiration & hope. This movie gives it to you!

Great Movie

I have not reviewed the particular movies that I just purchased (though they arrived promptly and appear to be in good shape), but I have seen this version of Cinderella several times.

The copies that I just purchased are for my 11-year-old son (he also likes the movie), my 6 year-old-niece, a friend's Bat Mitzvah Service Project, and my children's literature class.

I highly recommend this family movie. There is enough action for the men, a love story for the ladies, and some really interesting twists and turns that creatively link it to the classic version of the story.Read full review...

I bought this movie a few weeks ago and love to watch it over and over. one of my favs, funny sweet and honest. drew is great, the prince is awesome, and the alomst future bride of the prince is hilarious. don't see movies too often anymore that the whole family can sit and watch together. the prince's parents are a riot, especially when his mother makes the comment about divorce only being legal in england. what a hoot. thanks to my buyer for getting both of the movies to me quickly. my friend and i appreciate it. we could not find this available anywhere else. thanksRead full review...
