One of the best books on color mixing
This book will help you understand color and color mixing better than any book i have read on the subject. There are activities to do that will also help. You will understand your palette better and learn how to avoid making mud. I love it and got two more for painter friends. Every painter should have this in their library.
Good for Understanding color in any medium - acrylics, watercolor, colored pencil, even quilting!Read full review...

worth the money
This 2nd edition of this book by nita Leland is so much better then the first. It's divided into exercises that are easy to work on and the tips she gives are great ideas for beginners and even more experienced artists. I would recommend to both fiber artists and painters.Read full review...
Studio Necessity
Clearest and most user friendly book I've yet encountered on color theory. Set up with techniques to practice the theory which build on one another. I refer to it often as find it useful when choosing a color scheme for a composition/design.Read full review...
