The beginnings of LaFace!!!
Earlier days of Babyface and LA Reid before they became mega-producers in the late 80s- 90s R&B scene. This has been one of my favorite albums when I first started listening to music and the first taste of Babyface's writing style. The original version of "Two Occasions" opens this joint and the nostalgia of hearing it on vinyl makes it even that much better! It follows with the timeless "Shoot 'Em Up Movies" and doesn't end there. Remaining tracks: Let No One Separate Us, Eyes Of A Stranger, Can U Dance, She Wanted, Hip Chic, So Many Thangz.
In this renaissance of vinyl and records, I feel this is one of those gems that everyone in my generation who enjoyed the Babyface sound should own!Read full review...
