Maturity Built the Songwriter

I've been a Prine fan since his first album. I am biased by my love of this man's music from a place deep inside me. Prine writes my thoughts on love and has witnessed my pain and hardships in life, or so it seems. His music is personal and personable. This offering continues a long line of ballads that illustrate the common man's view. The melodies are familiar, like a nicely worn set of old blue jeans. The words give you the vision that Prine wants to let you see. John is an icon of American music, this album is one more edifice to that fact. For Prine enthusiasts, Fair and Square is a very good deal.Read full review...

Easy listening and a real story behind each song. Great to listen to during this pandemic. Relevant

John Prine should be an American icon. More in tune than Bob Dylan. Sadly I will never get a chance to see him live. CD is excellent.

Must have music for every cd library

Great John Prine stuff - naturally ! A must to go with his latest release. The two must go together - you can't have one without the other. Great stuff that even us Baby Baby Boomers love. If you have never listened to John, this will get you hooked.Read full review...

JOHN PRINE FAIR & SQUARE

John Prine was an incredible songwriter. His songs touched the soul of ones heart. I’ve been listening to his music since 1970.
I’m thankful that we were able to see him more than once at the Mt Baker Theatre in Bellingham, Wa. Miss and love this man!Read full review...

John Prine Still Has it!!

Bought this CD because I love John Prine and I haven't heard but one or two tracks from this one. I like the arrangements of most of the songs, although some are repetitive in nature. But that is John's way of telling a story through song. I listened all the way through upon receiving it and at first impression, "Some Humans Ain't Human" and "Safety Joe" stick in my memory, mostly because they made me laugh out loud and I felt the same feeling that I get when I listen to a lot of his older songs. This came out in 2005 and shows that John Prine still has it! Love this one!!Read full review...
