Great book

My sister saw this book in my house house maybe 6 or 7 years ago. She loved it then. Even though we're both heading towards 70 she is having a rough patch in her life and I have read her many different pages at different times that she had inspiration from. Her birthday was last week and I sent her a book. She thanked me so much and said it was just what she needed. And she does.

Faith in the Valley

I've bought this book no less than 6 times and end up giving it away because it is, without a doubt, the best book I've ever read. That is saying alot from someone who has been reading books non-stop since I was about 10 years old (50 now!!). I use it like a bible and when I am feeling spiritually low, saddened, or just need a lift, I let my spirit guide me, open the book, and always, there is a lesson there; sometimes I understand the message and sometimes I wonder why I was guided to the message I received.
When I give this book away, I always advise that the recipient must return the favor when she meets another woman in the throes of life who needs a spiritual compass, she must pass on the book and buy herself a new one. I hope it is working. I always say, if you live your life by the principles in Faith in the Valley, you will realize/know inner peace. Faith in the Valley by Iyanla Vanzant

I read it over and over, it gives me things to think about, reflect on and helps me feel hope that life can get better, that I have the power to make it better. It reminds me my life is something to create, not something that happens to me. It's empowering, For such a little book, it packs a big wallop. It offers comfort, wisdom, humor and when things start to feel overwhelming it puts circumstances in perspective. I don't leave home without it. Ms. Vanzant puts real wisdom and real compassion in her writting. She is straight forward and gets to the heart of the matter. She is never abrasive but is not one to pussy foot around. a GOD send

i was given this book about 16 years ago by a friend during a time i my life that was extremely difficult. reading this book really gave me comfort. i carried this book in my purse everyday. until tape couldnt hold it together any longer. i am now having some difficult times and so is my daughter. i purchased two books one for her and another for myself. it is a book that will comfort anyone who reads its and keeps a open mind and a open heart. god bless iyanla vanzant for this book. i have other books by her but none have given me the comfort and strenghth this book has. i am extremly anxious to get this book.Read full review...
