Total Package for an Already Great Game.

As if Fallout 3 wasn't enough, this package includes all 5 Game Add-On's. Perfectly integrated into the games already dynamic story line, this will be a great purchase for anyone who is new to the Fallout Series and anyone who is a fan already. Its the total package and a must have. Hours of extra game play and it raises the maximum players level from 20 to 30! More chances to build your character the way you want him or her to become. The great thing about this deal, is you can not only just use the Bonus Disc for the add-on's if you already own the game, but you can also share it with friends. Use it once and never have to go back to the start up disc to play add-on content.Read full review...

Fun for hours

This is a great game that provides a compelling storyline and other side quests that are optional. Play how you want by deciding who to help, which weapons/items to keep or sell, and which quests to accept. This can be picked up and played for 20 minutes or 4 hours. Plenty of wasteland to explore, weapons to collect, and people to speak to. 5 stars.Read full review...

Why I Think Fallout 3: GOTY Edition is Worth Buying

Personally, i think Fallout 3 is a great game. I recently returned it to a friend i was borrowing it from and i thought it was great. When the Game of the Year Edition came out, i was thrilled at the fact that people who didn't get Fallout 3 yet could get it with all the add-ons. I personally love how the game is the same style as ESIV: Oblivion, because it has a very open world gameplay and the interactions with it is very realistic. The fighting is very interesting because of the VATS. It lets you taget any part of the opponent's body and concentrate your fire to that part. It is a guilty pleasure to watch how the enemies die in such gruesome ways. The perk system is a fun way to let you have an individual advantage over things.

Besides the gameplay and the enviroment, the RPG part of the game is very fun. You get to make great impacts on the story and how people see you. The Karma system makes the game seem alot more personal.

The advantage to getting the GOTY edition is how much it adds to the original Fallout story, including increasing your level cap from 20 to 30. The GOTY has much more area and hours for gameplay. It adds different parts of the game get unusual equipment and have new different plots to fulfill.

Great game for gift

My Grandson loved it. I can say how I like it as I don't play games. He said it is awesome.

Amazing world that sucks you in and never lets go.

I played this game on PS3 and I never got to complete any of the side quests because the game continually crashed. Especially the Broken Steal add on. However, I can say with 33 hours logged in so far, that Fallout 3 on 360 is running as smooth as milk.

The game play for those that are unfamiliar with it, is like a shooter on the surface but an RPG underneath. The shooting is not 100% accurate but as you continue to level up, your aim gets better. Fighting in the game is really like trying to survive. You could go straight in guns blasting, but without thought, you will end up dying quite a bit. But if you think about your approach first, you have a much better chance of survival. You are always outgunned and as the game progresses, you come across enemies that have some serious firepower. But you begin to get a pretty diverse arsenal if you manage your weight properly. Yes there is an weight limit just like in Oblivion. But it also depends on what difficulty setting you play. On the Very Easy and Easy, and Normal setting, bullets don't count as weight. On the harder settings bullets account for your weight but I don't play on those difficulties. Guess I'm not hardcore enough. I just like to enjoy my games.

The story is not as tight but still meaningful. It gives you just the right kind of motivation to trail through the story. But I enjoyed it and the ending of the main quest as well. As I mentioned before, I can now go through the DLC and I have since been playing Broken Steel. The game is just wonderful. Bethesda really created a brand with their open world games and I won't spoil any of the stories but just know that it comes together as you play the expansions.

Last but not least, the world is amazing. I think they could have chosen any setting they wanted for the this game and it would be amazing the same way. The destroyed remnants of DC really hits home when I reached a place in the game where you are on a high platform and I was able to look out at the Washington Monument and see it's broken remains and it was amazing. I love how you really feel the desolation that is around you. While I was playing, I would find myself getting excited to see a friendly NPC while roaming the outside world seeing some form of life. I would help them just to make sure that they survive. You can even swap weapons and aid with some NPC's. You do find a companion if you make the right choice in the game which makes combat much better. Then you begin to feel like you can actually survive an intense battle. But you still have to plan right or you could die. But the locations are amazing too. Bethesda went to alot of trouble to create some of the perverse situations that you come across in the game.

There is one town that only has children running it. I love the fact that they take away your ability to draw your weapon because I am sure people would kill the kids out of wanting to know if you can or can't. There is a hotel with regular people in it in which the hotel owner becomes a despot. There is a drunk Russian that is holed up in a fancy resort home with 2 chicks that if you attempt to fight him, the girls will also shoot at you.

Overall, an amazing game that holds up still although being 5 to 6 years old. If you never played it, then you definitely should.

Fallout 3 for the Xbox-One

The graphics were ok but the game kept glitching and freezing. I would recommend this for Xbox 360.
