Tense, Sets Your Nerves On End!

In this modern retelling of a classic urban legend, a mother (Jodie Foster) finds herself at odds with a skeptical flight crew and her own sanity after her daughter, Julia (Marlene Lawston), vanishes in the middle of a flight, with only a few clues left behind. She must now challenge the boundaries of her will and her mind in her desperate search.

This movie WON The Best Picture Award in 2006 went to James Horner for the Top Box Office Films.

The ASCAP Film & TV Awards are given since 1986 and honor (ASCAP) composers, lyricists and publishers of the most performed music from television and top box office movies.

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) is a music performing-rights organization which was founded in 1914. It is the world's largest organization of its kind with over 130,000 composer, lyricist and music publisher members.

If you are a parent and have ever felt helpless in any situation when it came to the loss or hurt of your child, then you can very easily relate to Jodie Foster's Character.

A great quote from Stephanie (Kate Beahan), a airline stewardess, says it best [over the intercom] "Ladies and gentlemen, I'm sorry to interrupt, but we've got a first to report. It seems our aircraft is big enough to lose a child in. Her name is Julia Pratt (Marlene Lawston), six years old, she is wearing a navy blue jumper. If she's anywhere near you or perhaps playing with one of your kids, please press the call button now. We've got an anxious mom up here. Thank you. "

Be sure and catch this when are in the mood not to be interrupted. It usually takes a while to get into this film as some film take time to develop.

I'll give this a 4/5 for the riveting performance of Jodie Foster and the Ending.

This psychological/action thriller has twists & turns

Jodie Foster gives an excellent performance in this psychological/action thriller. She is flying to the U.S.A. from Europe in a jet (a magnificent one) she helped to design, bringing home the body of a loved one. All of the crew and passengers do not believe she brought her daughter onboard or even if she exists at all. Fosters' character fights to make anyone believe her,the passengers are cruel to her, even when they think she is mentally ill. The movie has twists and turns and even though it is not Fosters' best movie, it is pretty well done.Read full review...

Really great suspene movie!

It is very tough to make a really good movie that only takes place in an airplane, for there is only so many places they can go to throughout the plane. I found this movie to be very well directed and kept you guessing until close to the end of the movie. What is even more scary about the movie though, is that it is not to far off of reality. There are a lot of sick people out there with alterior motives that people fall victim to.

Over all it was a great thriller/drama and I recommend it to those who like those kind of movies.

Flightplan - A Must See

This is one of Jodie's best films. At first, you have a feeling that this is predictable and you already know the ending. You have it figured out. In fact, you could have written the story yourself. But, I found myself stumped and sitting on the edge of my seat in suspense. It does not end how you think it will. Basically the entire story takes places on a plane that her & her daughter board after a death in the family. They are in a state of shock. After awaking from a nap, Jodie finds that her daughter is missing. In a panic, she seeks out help, but only to find that no one ever saw her daughter. They don't even feel for her situation. In fact, they explain her daughter is dead. She never boarded the plane. Or did she? You will never suspect the ending!

This is a must see for everyone!

Very exciting and nerve wracking.

This was a great movie. It was so exciting because her little girl was with her and then she wasn't. The movie was a great value. I would have paid more for it if I had to. All of the characters kept you guessing about what was going to happen next all the time.Read full review...

Flight Plan

I gave this a 4 out of 5.
Jumbeling back and forth in the beginning. It isn't until you get on board the plane with Jodie Foster, that the excitement begins. A mother who is an Aeronautical engineer. Who knows the plans, but this plane she know real well, because she helped design the plane. You have an Air Marshal, who you will find out later has more to do with this scenario than most people. The Captain of the plane,[ everyone will recognise as ian from National treasure]. He has the best part, both on the plane and off. Even though they are a few lines, this man had the best part I think. The story goes, as a conspiracy...to theft...to murder. And 1-relentless mother (jodie foster) who will not give up. We all remember our own Mother's, and a few of us, had Mother's like her.
And now we are grown, and watching movies like this, and the memories come back. A movie worth owning, and watching again and again.

Great Movie

This is a great movie if you want some suspense but not really dark and violent. I like that there is a smart, capable female lead who is still compassionate and motherly - not weak. Not really a chic flick but women, like me, should like it!Read full review...
