Topics that help in the north country

I wanted some information about extending my garden growing knowledge, especially living here in the northern part of the country. This book does all that with different techniques and lists of vegetables that work. I would recommend this book to anyone who lives in the mid-west or northern countries.Read full review...

Informative and easy to read

I have so very much enjoyed this book!!! I have purchased another to give as a gift. It is so easy to read. It starts from the "ground up" pardon the pun and walks you through every aspect of creating a successful organic garden. The most exciting part is that it can produce for you year round. I found the chapters on soil composition and composting the most educational. But it was written in a manner that was easy to understand and made perfect sense. I finally got it!! If you're interested in organic gardening and are looking for ways to keep your green thumbs entertained year round, this is the book for you!Read full review...

No more preserving!

I really like this book! It has given my family an alternative to buying grocery store produce through the winter without having to do the terribly hot work of preserving our summer food. Eating with the seasons using the methods in this book will save us a good deal of money, hassle, and work while providing us the benefits of increased health that comes with a higher vitamin intake.Read full review...
