This is the only correct cap

For my PT Cruiser, I first tried a cap from local parts house. Those do not come with a tether and over 8 weeks gave me a gas cap notice on my dashboard. I could open the cap and close again and the message would go away. The cap I am reviewing comes with the tether line and the 'thread' design is different from the parts house caps. This thread design is identical to Chrysler, therefore a perfect match. No more notices on the dashboard!Read full review...

New cap works

I had trouble with the original gas cap of my Jeep Patriot the causing engine light to come on as well as a gas cap light. When I changed the cap to this new one everything went back to normal . All lights went out. This is a really good product It was easy to install, about 3 minutes to remove the old one and install the new one. Read full review...

Worked Great

3-year-old vehicle continued to throw a check engine light for the gas cap not being on tight (evap leak), despite cranking it repeatedly to ensure tightness. I replaced the cap with this one & have had no issues ever since. Perfect fit, easy installation, just like original (with tether). Great, easy fix.Read full review...

New Gas Cap Fixed Check Engine LIght on My 2005 Dodge Magnum

My check engine light started to come on a few months ago. It would do this every time the tank got to the half-full point then go away when I filled the tank, then the same thing happened, same cycle. I went to the Chrysler dealership and they said that the catalytic converter was the cause and it would cost me about $1,200 to fix the problem BUT why then would the light go off after I filled the tank I wondered? The last time this happened I tried an experiment...I opened the gas cap and sealed it again and drove about 40 miles and the check engine light went out so I figured I'd try a new gas cap which is why I brought this one. I put it on last week and so far, so good. Went past the half tank point and no check engine light so I hope this $17 fix is the cure. Much better than $1,200 yes? YMMVRead full review...

2015 ram 1500 5.7 Hemi Lonestar

Replaced my original gas cap with this oem replacement. Truck was throwing a P0456 evaporative emissions system small leak code due to wear on the gas cap gasket. This was the cheaper option than going to the local gasket shop and getting a custom gasket made. Read full review...

Gas cap

Had a P0455 code pop up & my engine light came on,after replacing the existing cap with this O.E.M replacement cap the engine light went off & no more code. It took a day & a half for it to go off because the pcm had to recalibrate. Happy customer & I highly recommend.A++Read full review...

I kept getting a check engine code. Kept saying small evap leak. I bought a gas cap with a lock. Worked for about a week then the same code popped up. That's wat I get for not going OEM mopar. So I bought this mopar gas cap. Engine code went away and hasn't shown back up. It's been about 3 weeks now. Read full review...
