Blast for the Past

I’ve wanted to play the Futurama Game for Years after playing it once when I was kid, but it’s Rareness has kept me from it. Finally I bit the bullet and gave buying it a shot. While it’s far from Polished, a Difficult but reasonable Gameplay & Engaging Cutscenes that feels right out of the show keeps your interest. Is it worth 150-200 Dollars though? I probably only say you’re a Die Hard Futurama Fan &/or a Collector. And even with that you shouldn’t pay a penny more than that. I’ve seen this game go up to 1000$ and it is not worth that in any way! Fry got a better deal on 1000 year old Anchovies for Pete sake. But If you’re willing to spend 100$ on a SubPar but interesting page in Futurama History, it’s definitely worth the Investment.Read full review...

Not worth the mark up

This is a low budget game thats only "rare" because when it was new no one wanted it. It's hard just to be hard not fun hard like some games. If you're a collector it's a good piece to have but don't plan on playing it and actually enjoying it. I paid the ridiculous price played it for an hour and put it right back on ebay.

Futurama PS2 review

Futurama is one of those games that every Futurama fan wants, until they actually get it. This is definitely a game only for the hardcore Futurama fan. It's a typical 3D platformer, with an assortment of characters from the show you can play as, with different attacks for each character. While the premise of the game is fun (heck, it's Futurama), it could certainly be a much better game. My biggest complaint about the game is its difficulty. I found it wasn't much fun unless I was using the cheats. Save points are too few and far between, so you end up having to redo levels over and over again (thank you cheats!) Level design is definitely lacking in inspiration in parts. With all its flaws, the only reason I keep playing is because I want to see how the story pans out, and I want to play as all my favorite characters. The cel-shaded graphics are definitely cool. The major plus side of the game is its Futurama influence. The dialogue is as hilarious as any fan of the show would expect. Considering gameplay alone, I would have given this game a 2/5, but I bumped it up to 3/5 because it's Futurama, which raised the fun factor a notch.Read full review...
