We installed in our fridge about 3 weeks ago and it seems to be fine. No problems.
Getting it on ebay this way was a little cheaper than on Amazon. We just wanted one filter, as we don't use our water dispenser too much because the stupid thing is INSIDE the refrigerator (which means we have to hold the door open to use it)
But...ebay was the only place we were able to find just ONE filter to a package, not two.

Low flow filter, be aware
The filter I received looks like a GE original product and bears a GE logo, but it DEFINITELY does not function like a GE original product. When installed, the flow of cold water was very restricted and greatly decreased from all other time I had replaced the filter (my fridge is 10 years old, so that's MANY times). Very disappointing. I had hoped that it would get better as it was used, but that did not happen. My wife complained so much that I went to Home Depot and got a filter from them and as soon as it was installed, the flow of water was back to normal. So the product I got does work, but at a snails pace compared to the way it should work.Read full review...

Fridge Filter
I prefer to use genuine GE filters as the cheap knock offs don't remove lead. This one does and it also does a good job of removing chlorine. They are more expensive, but you get what you pay for.

New Old Stock but filters appear to be sealed and OEM.
Have not installed yet, but appear to be OEM and filters are sealed. One box had part of the top flap missing but I would think that this is because they were setting on the shelf in stock for a long time somewhere. As far as the filters, they appear new and sealed. I will have to wait awhile to see how they actually work as I had recently installed a new filter that was very expensive and thus the reason I searched for a less expensive alternative to have on hand.Read full review...

Easy to install.
Easy to install in my 2006 refrigerator. Just twist off the old filter and install this new one in its place, and twist it back in. Takes 30 seconds for a change out.
