Far Too Little

Knowing what is acceptable in sound quality is determined by the listener, I read through other reviews and made the purchase. I'm not an audiophile but I have a minimum level of quality sound that I search for. Short and sweet, AVOID THIS 5.1 "home theatre" set at all costs. I recall a small record player I bought as a 14 year old in which the sound quality was not very good. But, it played a few LP's I had begun to collect and I just had to accept what I had. The subwoofer is sufficient, but the five satellite speakers are wholly inadequate. They sound like 5 1950's-era AM radios with sound I'd have to compare to what Alexander Graham Bell asked for his assistant to come into an anteroom in his laboratory in the first ever "sound test".

Don't buy it. Spend a few extra dollars and get a minimal amount of quality. You'll be MUCH happier if you do.Read full review...

It works

This item is not a home theater surround sound but us good for a room. The bass speaker has the volume knobs on the back allowing you to turn the speakers volume and bass up and down. Although the bass is turned up to the max, it does not have that theater boom i was looking for. Instead of returning a product that would be useful in another area aside from my family room, i kept the unit and now my husband uses it for his xbox. Read full review...
