God Says NO!

I have been looking for this cd for awhile now. A family member of mine introduced me to Dopes To Infinity several years ago. I absolutely loved it. I wasnt as happy with Powertrip due to the more mainstream type sounds but was still very original. I know its bad to say but I bought this album for one song only. Don't get me wrong I love them all but God Says No is so original and well thought out. It drives to my core and shakes me. It makes me think about how some of the crap that happens in life and how I could just see God sitting there on his thrown shaking his head at me. These are some of the best musicians out there right now. Not bubblegum rock like Kid Rock, and bands like Weezer, and Alien Ant Farm. God Says No but I say YEEEES, Love it!

I read the Album Notes on the track listing on the auction for this Monster Magnet CD, and it said the lyrics for the originally planned God Says No album were stolen. Considering that on such short notice they had to put out something new, I am impressed with how well it went. I really love this CD, as with the other ones I've bought so far by Monster Magnet (Dopes to Infinity, Powertrip, besides God Says No). Really hard to pin down a favorite (Space Lord is the track that 'introduced me' to Monster Magnet), but my favorites on this CD would probably be Queen of You, Kiss of the Scorpion, Gravity Well... I love them all no exceptions, the "spacey stuff" is great! I listen to their music frequently for *inspiration* for my creative writing projects. If they haven't gotten their ripped lyrics back, I sure wish whoever deprived the fans of the music and the group of the work they put into it, would return the lyrics so they can be produced. Clearly these guys love their work and so do the fans so we would LOVE to have the original God Says No lyrics returned so we could HEAR them. But it's not to say that this album is not well received in their place... it occurs to me that these songs might never have been produced if the originals hadn't been ripped.
