Its really the real car simulation

Its really a great car game!
But don´t make a mistake, if you want a game that you can run like an idiot and still suceed, forget it.
Gran Turismo is a simulator, but a very good one!
Starting with the graphics: Umbeliaveble!!!!!!! Extremelly realistic!
Sony waited for the last moment to show what PS2 can really do!
The drive is like the real world, if you push hard the acelerator in the wrong curve the car will slip out, or at least the tires will suffer damage. Only the best drivers could do a good turn without damage or trouble.
There are hundreds car at your desire, but in the carrier mode you need to gain money to by them. There are new cars to buy and used too!
There are a hundred of options to upgrade your cars, and you car have several cars in your garage.
You have to gain licences to drive some races. Need cool blood in this tests.
There are two types for play: A-spec (you drive) and B-spec (you became the director and have to tell your Driver (CPU) what he should do - That´s cool.
The sound tracks are cool, some new songs, some old (and good songs)
This is a excellent choice for your collection.

gran turismo 4

I bought gran turismo four because I have gran turismo three and I really like it because it is very realistic so I bought gt4 because I wanted an even more realistic racing experience. It was so much more realistic than gt3 which I thought was absolutely great. I gave gt4 a lesser rating becuase I just like the format of gt3 more than gt4 I don't like the home screen and the way its set up, but gt4 has alot more songs than gt3, way more tracks, and best of all a huge selection of collectible and new to teh market cars... I thought the fact that they had trucks to race was funny and also pretty cool. If you like gt3 and would like something more not very far from the real thing I recomend getting gt4.Read full review...

BUY IT NOW!!!

Graphics, Amount of cars,Transfer of money and license B and A from GT3. All Great Features Easiest way to get started is Buy Something Good like CLIO V6 24V for around 25 or so used then add nitro as good of tires as you can afford and oil change. Now do the 2nd special condition race (easy) Capri Rally. after you win the 2 races Go to your home and You will win a vehicle worth 265,000 or so. Follow the prompts when you come back after winning. Always go home after winning all the races of a group So you get your car.Do that a few times and you have well over a million quickly then buy what you want but use two memory cards so you can return a car if it stinks. It always saves after you buy a car if it cant save you cant buy the car : ( Copy youre game to the other card then buy the car you think you want and try it out, if it stinks pop the other card in and copy it back to before the purchase. you can take the card out if you are buying upgrades for your car it tries to save when you leave the country but it will ask to cancel save if you took the card out. Now try your race with the updates if it still stinks or you didnt win restart. oh yeah go into options and down to misc. and turn opening movie off and set the timers really high for the other stuff. This way when you restart it goes to the main screen Do what you want with autosave. download faqs like the prize ones and you will love this game as i do TTFNRead full review...

GT4 in the PS2

Not many game series can be referred to as genre-defining, but in the world of console racing games, Gran Turismo fits the description. Gran Turismo 4 features more than 700 cars from more than 80 manufacturers. The available cars, of course, are only part of the attraction of GT4. The game also features more than 50 courses to drive, including a tantalizing mix of real-life racetracks.

Car models look fantastic, lighting effects that were impressive in Gran Turismo 3 are stunning in GT4. Controlling your car in GT4 is a pleasure, whether using the Dual Shock controller or a racing wheel. The cars are instantly responsive to even the slightest input from the controller.

To summarize, GT4 is a game that will keep enthusiasts (like me) busy for months.

Gran Turismo 4 on Playstation 2

I think this is the best racing game for the playstation 2. It has the biggest seletion of cars in any game I have ever played. I think it has something like 800 cars to chose from in just this one game. It also has a bunch of track and a pretty good tuning setup for those who like to really get into their games. They have a bunch of events for you to chose from and also makes to get licenses to gain access to the next set of races. It has fairly good graphics for being on the playstation 2 system. It is also the first game in the Gran Turismo title to let you have the use of NOS. I would say this is a must have if you are into cars and still play on your Playstation 2 console.Read full review...

The Ultimate Driving Simulator

If you are looking for a driving simulator on the PS2 look no further. You can pick up and play the arcade feature and choose a wide variety of cars from a Honda Civic to a full fledged GT racer.
<br>The game gets better as you play the GT mode though. Unlock cars and tracks for more fun. The features in this game allow for an extensive amount of replay time. The GT series is always good for at least several months of gameplay, not your average weekend blockbuster rental

Features like a realistic physics engine, AI, tunning options, license tests, photo mode, and numerous choices like whether to drive(ASpec) or be in charge of a driver (BSpec) lead to a game with many different options and a whole lot of re-play value.

Check out all the action in the GT union of Gamespot.com and you will see the proof that this game is a keeper

very good racing game

The first thing you notice when starting the game is the car choice. And not just the number of vehicles available – about 400, but the actual access to them. They are all vacant to whoever has the money. You don’t need to spend any time straggling to win nonsense races in order to get the cars unlocked. As long as you win some cash, the dealership is open. The rest is pretty cool and great graphics for a ps2 game.Read full review...

Great SIM!

Gran turismo 4 is one of the best racing game that I've ever played. The thing that I like the most are the graphics. They are amazing, it's worth it just for the graphics. 700 cars too choose from, but no ferrari's or lamborghini's.The gameplay can be hard, but it's fun to play with a friend or practice, test out the cars, their abilities and top speeds. The sound of the cars is realistic and it feels like you were driving a real car. This game will keep you busy for weeks. The game is hard, but it does not matter, it's fun. In this game you will find the coolest concepts, the classics, the 50's muscle cars, the modern sports racer, you name it, it's there.Read full review...

Worth what i paid!

Very good value, purchased it used. Big difference from current version but I knew that before purchasing. I still own my PS2, but don't play games as offered as other people.
