GTA VICE CITY is a Computer game from the middle Neolithic Period (2003) that is considered the standard by which all player immersive gameplay must achieve. Just when it’s predecessor GTA3 was considered the non plus ultra of gameplay, Vice City pushed the boundaries further than anyone could expect—-kind of like what SGT Pepper did for Rock & Roll.

It’s the 80’s and you are Thomas. Thomas is having a bad day. Not only has he lost the Yay-Yo, he lost the buy money which has intensely angered his employer.

Thomas is an Ex Felon who finds himself stuck in Vice City, Florida. He has no friends, no family, no money, no car, no woman—-and he owes an unbelievable amount of money to the mob.

Thomas depends on YOU for guidance, to do unto others BEFORE they doest unto youse.
What is the first thing I do for my little Tommy? We group hung and have us a little ‘ManCry’ (four seconds is plenty) before I have him mug us a tourist, steal a car and do our Gangsta thang.

This game lets you interact with Burt Reynolds, Blondie, Dennis Hopper, Gary Debussy and a literal who’s Who of character actors. Better yet is the music which consists of the BEST of the 80s such as Michael Jackson, Yes, Kate Bush, etc. Me? I’m a NPR kind of guy who enjoys listening to ‘stimulating conversations like on ‘PRESS the ISSUES’ with Maurice Chavez.

DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME without two things: A premium Controller (which you configure before you play) and the Milton Bradley Hints book. Also, DO NOT CHEAT!!! Burt Reynold’s Toy Helicopter scenario is the hardest one in the game for a reason—-to see if you’re MAN ENOUGH to figure things out. There is a trick to it (all hard right turns) Do this and four more missions and you unlock the other parts of the game.

This game teaches you life skills. For Example, If you have just completed a mission you have to save it for it to count. If a woman driver cuts you off or scratches your stolen vehicle then says something REAL NASTY to you, it’s OK to cry & turn the other cheek and leave that CHAINSAW in the trunk where it belongs!!!

I finally got past the helicopter scene (69% completion) when my HD died and I lost everything!!! Hence my repurchase of same.Read full review

Unfortunately the install disc's scratch...

Unfortunately the install disc's scratches cause an unrecoverable read error in the main compressed CAB file for the game. Hopefully I'll be able to polish or clean the disc and get it to read without the error. Thank you.Read full review

Perhaps the best GTA game you'll ever play.

Easily one of the best GTA games Rockstar have produced. It contains the best soundtrack of any game I've ever heard. While there are some technical issues and bugs that Rockstar never bothered to patch out, the community still loves the game. Really worth a try if you're interested in a classic GTA title or feeling nostalgic for the 80s.Read full review

The Bane of My Existence

Maybe the bane of my existence. After beating Grand Theft Auto 3, I turned my focus to the next game in the franchise. Vice City is a great game but there was one particular mission I was stuck on and I'm back to pass it. This is a great game and the difficulty is rather challenging.
