Best on PS4

Great game. Had it on PC but much more enjoyable on PS4. Ive always been a fan of GTA because the open world maps and GTA V does not disappoint. PS4 version online better response times than PC (probably because PC has way more background data going on than PS4) and also it's nice to play on a TV sitting on the couch rather than a monitor at a desk. I know all that is highly subjective, but for those who don't want to spend time configuring a gaming PC setup in the living room, PS4, as does many consoles still seems to serve the purpose much better than PC. I do wish there was more modding capabilities in console versions, but trade offs right...Read full review...

GTA: Meh Edition

It's okay. Like GTA IV, it fails to live up to its pedigree. It's very pretty. The driving is fun and Los Santos is really well planned out. Unfortunately, the gameplay is stale. The story line is pretty much the worst Rockstar has ever delivered. The whole game is you controlling three characters who constantly fail to grow their criminal enterprise, and you, the player, are penalized by never making money for the missions you take them through until the very end. It's an exercise in frustration,a nd proof Rockstar's current devs don't understand the fundamental basics of good game design (INCENTIVIZE activity, don't inhibit or punish it).

GTA Online is a total cesspool. It's the worst online mode of any game I've ever played, and I say that as a gamer who cut his teeth on the Atari 2600 in 1983. It's blatant pay to win, designed so that anyone trying to play without purchasing those silly in-game currency cards for real world money will be hobbled at every turn. It is populated by the worst variety of children who spend the entire time griefing others, speaking in language that would make an inner city gang member cringe, and leaving lobbies so that you fail your group missions by default. Rockstar only "updates" this mode in ways that defend the currency they're trying to sell you, never fixing the broken gameplay mechanics or dealing with the heinous social environment.

Is it worth it for the single player? If you can get it under $20 and can tune out the story, you'll get your money's worth, but not a penny more. Fire up your classic PS2 and play San Andreas instead. You'll be happier in the end.

Very fun, realistic and never gets boring

grand theft auto is definitely worth its price. The game play is extremely fun and you feel like you are the characters because you have to deal with their problems and solve them with missions and specifically as Michael you get to meet his family so it feels more real. You can also choose different character you want to be so if you get tired of one character you get to switch it out. The heists are very well thought out and fun because you have to plan everything out, making it very realistic and since you have to split up into teams it makes it very fun. Online mode feels pretty similiar to the campaingn. Its still fun and entertaining but at times it feels there is no difference. If you can get a group of friends to play online the game is extremely fun and you'll be addicted. There are many different things you can do in Los Santos and many different challenges and missions you can play with your friends. This game never gets boring and I highly recommend it. Free roaming is a another option where you can run around and do whatever you want which is a very fun mode.Read full review...

WHAT A DEAL. Great gameplay and lots of fun.

I bought this game *new and unopened* on Ebay for $32. Stores like Best Buy, etc sell it for $55-59 still. Yeah...I'm happy. The graphics are top notch on 4k TV. The gameplay is great. Smooth frames. For people that want to jump into multi-player right away (after completing the first Franklin mission), it is a very steep learning curve, especially if you think you're going to roll in there and clean house on other players. Play the story mode, familiarize yourself with the controls and methods of play. Otherwise, if you, with a presumably low rank off the get go, pick off a 100+ ranked player...you'll be promptly killed over and over. I can't boast. I'm still learning the game and get caught in the cross hairs quite a bit...but I don't care. It's a game and it's lots of fun. A lot of players will chill if you just back off and shoot them a message. If you're a poor sport, then your days will be long while playing this game. Remember to have fun and soak up all of the information that you can. Also remember that some days, you just can't win. It's no biggie. Jump into a different session and start over. Take a break, get back in there and get after it. It's a huge game and a great game. Enjoy.Read full review...

GTA - V

GTA - V has been one of the best open-world gameplay for some time now; beautiful cars, super storyline, and the updated graphics for the PlayStation 4 are superb. The drawback of the game is going into more buildings and being unable to enter the property when buying property. However, I haven't finished playing the game, and I am unsure if I can enter the property later. The game is excellent. No update joining them online GTA 5; you can go into more property, but you need to pray for membership; that's the drawback.Read full review...

GTA V review

The single player is one of the most entertaining in all of gaming with a lot of humor and plenty of things to do. Online however, is hard to recommend with it's prevalence of micro-transactions that make it impossible to enjoy yourself without spending large sums of real-world money. If it were a single-player only game, it would easily be 5 stars. Unfortunately, online exists.Read full review...

Best Grand Theft Auto game ever

This is game is very fun! The graphics are awesome. The gameplay is awesome. The weapons are great. The vehicles are great. Third person camera view and first person camera view are awesome. Everything about the game is great except for the unexpected stuff and dumb idiotic stuff on advertisement radio programs in the game but it's still fun. GTA Online is also fun. Highly recommended.Read full review...

The Cream of the Crop

The GTA series has always found a way to keep the same formula without letting it get stale. GTA V is an example of not only sticking to the formula but also elevating it to a new level of greatness. Fantastic graphics, great voice acting, hysterical dialogue and plenty, and I mean plenty, of stuff to do. A fantastic game and easily the best of the series.Read full review...

It just keeps getting better

I played this game and loved it on the PS3. This new generation keeps getting better. Not only are there a ton of really good single player features, but PS4/XB1 continue to get excellent FREE updates to the online modes, making it a ton of fun. Definitely recommended for anyone that's not a kid.Read full review...
