these usually fit perfectly

I did not use this nut as it was too short for the strings and fret clearance on my cort made squire strat, the mistake was on my part, but I love the pt-5042-00 that I previously installed on it, fit the groove perfectly and works great. The only drawback is the neck on the affinity is so narrow, (40mm), that it leaves the E strings so close to the edge of the neck it is easy to slide off the fret but I am getting used to it. Great product!Read full review...

Great nut, probably the best replacement nut out there

This nut does what it is intended to do: fit well and retain tune, and be “slippery” enough to not have strings “ping” while tuning.
With my particular installation I had to shim this nut, but I am using a Mighty Mite neck, not an actual Fender neck. I assume it would fit a Fender neck much better.
I was able to shim, file, and install this nut with no real issues, and I am as novice as can be when it comes to that kind of thing. Worked out perfect in the end, I bought a second for another guitar and will definitely buy more in the future. Very user-friendly product.

My first graphtech nut

Works great , and I think it does sound better, tunes up easier/ stays in tune better than the old bone nut I was running. Overall fit just about right all the way around. I'll probably be buying these for future projects 🙂

needed a shim due to deep nut slot.

Excellent drop-in nut for a good improvement to an import guitar. The guitars nut slot was a bit deep, so i did have to shim it up a little. Once in place, the guitar sounds better, and the strings stay in tune when using trem or bends.
Graphite nut is great.

Fantastic nut upgrade!

Improved the tone of my Telecaster, and I’m no longer getting the annoying sounds of strings binding up on the nut during bends. It had a plastic nut which sounded dull, then I put on a bone nut that was extremely bright. This one has a well balance tone and no binding issues!Read full review...

Too low

Installed it on a stock Warmoth neck. Nut wasn’t tall enough so strings sat on frets. It crumbled prying it out. Maybe a good product for a neck with very shallow nut slot.
