Feeling Blue Green Acres will perk you up!

Funny, Funny Funny, delightful heart lifting fun that guarantees laughter and a time out from the daily stress most of us experience. Underlying Life lessons can be learned as we watch Wendell Douglas commitment and dedication to succeed at his dream of being a farmer and then reluctant Lisa Douglas coming around to unselfishly support and stick by the love of her life. The locals may look at Wendell as a city slicker but around the Drucker store they too are warmly affected by the new comers and lend a charitable neighborly hand when ever need arises. Arnold the pig seems to approve of the Douglas family as well and loves visiting to watch their color TV or just hang out with Ed. Personally I wish TV producers would return to this type of programing and leave behind the smut they produce on TV these days but its unlikely. So I count it a blessing to own Green Acres and other TV series from yesteryear on DVD so I can turn off the current junk on TV. If you want to laugh if you want to escape the smut of todays TV shows, if you need a break from life's serious side buy Green Acres today.Read full review...

Green Acres-The Complete First Season DVD

The Green Acres Series was a wonderful program that came out in the 60's and was very funny and entertaining. A series about a husband and wife moving out of the city and into the coutry can be quite an experience for anyone. When the creature of the show, Paul Henning, made this series, it was the total opposite of what he had created with "The Beverly Hillbillies". The Clampetts came out of the country and into the big city. They were not use to all the convenience that the big city had and it was quite a challenge. But on "Green Acres" it was a bigger challenge for The Douglas to learn how to live with not having those luxuries and conveniences that made it easy for them in the big city. And it was those experiences that the characters had is what made this DVD and great product to purchase and enjoy watching again and again.Read full review...

Ahh the good old days!

We watch a show or two everyday at lunch, great clear quality and in color, we didn't have color when it was on, it might be in Stereo, but we never really listened. Both great actors, sadly now I'm sure gone, you should buy it, we love it a lot! Jerry and MidgeRead full review...

Not Computer friendly

Too difficult to play on a computer. The series was good. I only wish they'd release it minus the laugh track like they did Sledge Hammer.

What a great way to spend a lazy Sunday!

Having loved this show as a kid, I was curious to see if it would be as enjoyable now. It was even MORE fun to watch. I appreciate the humor and writing and the pure fun & silliness more now.
>Admittedly, life can be tough at times and what better way to escape than a trip to Hooterville?Read full review...
