An essential twofer the price of one CD for Gram Parsons fans

Gram Parsons had a very short performing life and only left two mostly studio recordings behind him as a solo artist--although he is ably accompanied by a young Emmy Lou Harris who was just beginning her singing career.
The songs on both of these releases convey a fresh sound that combines country, folk, and pop genres that preceded and influenced successful groups like The Eagles and Crosby, Stills, and Nash.
Sound quality is excellent for its era and the remastering has made it sound as good as it is likely to get.

Wonderful compilation of country-rockers and ballads

While Gram's best work was with the Flying Burrito Brothers, these solo album cuts also demonstrate his wonderful singing, great harmonies with EmmyLou Harris, several live cuts, and his putting the country into country-rock.
