I love this book! This is THE BOOK for growing, learning about, and enjoying beautiful pictures of carnivorous plants. Written by one of the greatest names in carnivorous plant horticulture, and a co-founder of the International Carnivorous Plant Society and editor of the society's newsletter, Barry A. Rice, this book could stand alone as a person's complete carnivorous plant dictionary. It goes into extensive detail of these amazing plants' evolution, habitats, animal and insect interactions, cultivation and propagation, and how these plants can be sensibly conserved in situ, both through being a conscientious collector and grower, and through conservation societies and wetland conservation programs. This book, not being just a simple information source, is also packed with the most detailed and beautiful pictures of carnivorous plants both in habitat and cultivation that you are likely to find anywhere; this transforms the book from a library of knowledge into a library of knowledge with an art gallery.
