Trying the next Guild Wars

I loved the graphics on this game, so much more lively than the first one.
The only problem, and in my opinion, the biggest problem was the controls to get your character to interact with the
your surroundings. It was (it is) very hard to get your character to move and fight and complete tasks with this new way of giving your avatar commands.

Your character is more powerful and more detailed, which is great. But all this is useless if you can't get your avatar to respond quick enough or you have them move wrong because you pressed the wrong key.

It would also help if you could get a quick reference guide with the game like they did with the first Guild Wars.Read full review...

Decent

Seems to be copying World of Warcraft to me...But doesn't do a great job....I am a vanilla player of wow so this vs that NOTHING COMPARED TO IT! As i'd play it for hours and hour...But Guild Wars 2 vs. Current WOW......Guild Wars 2 just beats it mainly cause of free gameplay....As I said nothing much great about it but it's a decent gameRead full review...

It is Free To Play, however the base game removes all restrictions that Free to Pay model gives you. If you want to unlock your account but not spend 40-50$ for Heart of Thorns this is a good deal. Well made, fun game, but I guess no game will ever compare to World of Warcraft... :( Played WoW on and off for several years and have since lost interest in it. So, as always when one game gets old you look for a new one. I ran across a GW2 review on YouTube and thought it looked pretty cool. It definitely has the potential to be awesome for someone but maybe just not me. Great, well made, fun game but it is just another MMORPG. A game designed for the players

Top quality developed massively online multiplayer game. The combat is no longer just a click and shoot. It offers positional attacks, active dodging as well as combos that can be done with the help of other players. It's a truly active combat experience. Leveling is done through exploring and playing through the world whether that means gathering materials, crafting items, killing boars, or taking part in your personal story or dynamic events is up to you as a player. Dynamic events occur from time to time and really bring players together in a common cause and can branch out to a large culmination event that leaves you feeling like you really made an impact. The world is alive in this game! You have a choice on how to play and I really suggest giving it a buy, whether you are a Guild Wars fan or not, or even an MMO fan or not. Dont waste your time and money

I had fun for for 3 weeks. Got bored quick. There is no strategy required. The whole game is focused around DPS'ing your target down as quick as possible. There are no tanks or healers. All classes are DPS class. All classes can heal. There is little variety to play style. Not many dungeons. PVP gear is a free hand out. You cant earn better PVP gear. Your reward for PVP is armor skins. You cant post critical opinions about the game on the forum. Moderators will delete your post and ban your account. If you played WoW trust me you will not like this game. The quality is not there. You get what you pay for.Read full review...
