HP 1022 - perhaps best black and white laser printer ever

I bought one of these for all our employees. They are cheap, fast, reliable. One of the best black and white laser printers for the price ever made.

Fast service and started out great.

Worked great for three days but now my computer won't recognize it. I went to settings and highlighted it as the default printer but still no operation. Checked connections but nothing.
I don't understand it was working fine and then nothing. I installed drivers and it worked fine but now not so good. Would appreciate any help. Thanks, JOhnRead full review...

Just buy it.

I have been using one like the one I just bought at work for the last 3 and a half years. This is a sturdy little workhorse of a printer. It is fast once it gets warmed up, has good print quality and an unbelievable bang for the buck.

The toner lasts a long time, and I thought that I'd get one for home, so the kids homework doesn't bankrupt me in ink, even though I chaged to a "low ink cost" Kodak inkjet.

These are small and perfect for black and white, even graphics. You will need to buy a toner cartridge, but it will last a normal household for months of printing.Read full review...

Buggy Linux drivers, but works good.

I like the printer but I use Linux and the HP drivers for this printer are very buggy. I installed foomatic and it also was bugging. I did a google search and found a different version of foomatic that the website author said would work better and it did. It is a very fast printer. It prints the documents extremely fast.
