Works well needed a factory reset upon arrival

The printer works fine, print quality is good, in decent shape other just it not being cleaned very well. I also had to perform a factory reset on it after it having difficulties connecting to my network. After the reset it seems to be in working order now. I understand that it’s an older printer so it’s always a gamble but a gamble I was willing to take considering I had hundreds of dollars worth of ink for it. So far so good though!Read full review...

Older, Costlier Printer

The HP 6700 is a solid printer with proven features that work well wirelessly. However, this is older technology and not easily replaced by a similar machine of this era. I refer to the utilization of unused ink cartridges designed for the HP 6600/6700 All-In-One Printer/Copier/Scanner/Fax Machine. This machine was purchased as a replacement for my HP 6600 that developed issues after 3 years of use. I had over $125 of unused ink cartridges for my HP 6600, which NOW sells for 3 times it's original cost, IF, you can find one on ebay or Craig's List. You should be cautious about purchasing the HP 6600/6700 on ebay. Most do NOT offer a warrantee and many were not even tested before being placed on the website. I paid twice the original purchase price for a "refurbished" HP 6700 printer. Hopefully, I will be able to utilize my remaining cartridges before this one bites the dust!Read full review...

Meets my needs OK

It meets my need to replace an HP that used the same toner. I had quite a bit left so wanted to purchase a similar printer to the one I had. My only complaint is that it doesn't remove a print job from the print queue. So I have to remove hte printer from my computer and reload it or turn it off for a period of time before printing another document. Time doesn't help. Just have to mess with it to get empty the print queue even though the documents did print.Read full review...

Printer does not print - LOUSY printer!

Firstly, using the cartridges that came with the printer, the BLACK cartridge would not print, even after aligning and cleaning the printer-head multiple times.
Next, I changed each of the cartridges and replaced with new cartridges. Still, the BLACK cartridge would not print. Alignment and printer-head cleaning did not work. I changed cartridges a 2nd time, but the BLACK ink would not work.
Finally, after swapping the cartridges in and out multiple times, it now states an apparent FATAL error, stating that there is a "carriage jam" and that the printer head cannot move. BTW, there is NO PAPER JAM, plus the carriage does slide, so it is not stuck.
This was a waste of MONEY, TIME and EFFORT - Unfortunately for me, it was a HORRIBLE purchase! Incredibly disappointed!

This printer is good, an excellent buy for the money.

I had a HP Officejet that I purchased in 2005 that had quit working early last year, that was an excellent printer. I replaced it with a printer that was not HP and I was not satisfied with it at all. I finally gave up on it and purchased this HP Officejet and I am happy with it. As with most things made these days the quality had diminished, even though there are a few electronic upgrades, the print quality is not as good as it used to be. The individual ink colors are also more expensive than they were with the old HP. I am happy with the Officejet 6700. Compared to the printer that I replaced it is excellent.Read full review...

Mid weight

Yes, there are newer machines coming out everyday. but for lite to mid size offices I am liking it. One big downside is it is hard to service. Print head is not removable without taking it apart.

Happy

I bought this unit used, refurbished, and had my doubts, but needed it immediately as my 6600 bit the dust.
Received it way before it was due, packed adequately, and basically, was plug and play; upgraded the ink cartridges, and after a little setting adjustments (I'm i-t iliterate), it was up and running! Well! Thankful.Read full review...

Great quality.

The Officejet worked perfectly out of the box and the print quality is great. I'm hopeful that with proper maintenance, this printer will last for 5 years, like my previous HP 6700. The only item missing was the paper tray cover end piece that catches the paper. Read full review...
