HP photosmart 130 printer

I have purchased three of these printers and I can say honestly that when they work, they give beautiful photo's but thats the issue, they haven't been working!!! They seem to break after the windows service pack three updates were issued and installed on pc's. Once that update has been installed, your printer will no longer function compatibly with your pc. Soon after, they'll start having issues where the paper will not load properly into the printer, the paper jams, and/or the ink cartridge will not stay lodged in it's cradle. The cameras are a bit better and last a little longer but they too have issues where the digital screen will get lines in it. You can still take pictures the old fashion way using the veiwers window but being able to edit your pics is what made digital cameras desirable in the first place.Read full review...

Great photo printer.

This is a replacement for one just like this. Had it for years and loved it. Easy to use, portable, clear prints. Old one just sore out after lots of use.

Great Printer easy to use

My Dad developed Alzheimer's a few years ago. One of the first signs that he was having a problem was that he'd buy electronic devices but could no longer figure out how to use them, so he'd throw them out. One of those things he tossed were the cords for the Hewlett Packard PhotoSmart Printer. I searched e-bay looking for a cord and found one for over $48. Then I saw the whole printer complete with a new ink cartridge and a new package of paper. I paid only $26 for the whole works. It was PERFECT for the project I was working on! It was an album of photos for my mother-in-laws 85th birthday party. The quality of the pictures was so beautiful that I made many more photos than I actually intended to make. Great for parties!

The printing quality is great on this printer and compares to my larger size home printer. I have no complaints on the performance. However I would say that the printer does crop pictures a little before printing. It's only a problem if you take close up portraits because it will most like come up cropped. However I haven't had a problem because I leave a little room to account for the printer. I wouldn't recommend this as someone's only photo printer because it does limit the size pictures you can print 4x6 being the largest size. It's very compact and great for traveling...

...But the absolute greatest use for this printer is parties!
1. You do not need a computer to print you can just insert a memory card and print off the card.
2. It can print from a wide variety of cards so if someone else got a shot you wanted you can print yourself up a picture from their card. No waiting for other people to get the picture to you.
3. Pictures make great party favors at kids parties, print a few for each kid to take home.Read full review...

I bought it because I had one just like it for many years. The HP-130 printer is small, one need not be scientist to use it. It's very simple to use . One button to turn it on and one button to print. And what I also like about it it's so small I can stick it in my Coat pocket.Read full review...
