I have used this very brand for a long time. I have an LG V20 and the 3.5 mm jack fits fine. The protective case that a person uses on their phone can sometimes prevent some plugs from fitting correctly. Try taking the case off the phone and see if the jack fits. Then you have to make a decision to either change to a different case or use a different brand of headset.
All headsets have a life expectancy and will eventually go bad and stop working correctly. These will do the same with time, but may wife and I have had better luck and a longer life expectancy with this particular brand of headset than we have with any other.

does not fit in LG V20 headphone jack
This does not fit in the headphone jack port. I have to constantly hold the wire in to the port so that it makes contact. Please take off that these fit for LG V20 because they do not. I would have given it 5 stars if it did. But for customers that have the LG V20 this is NOT the right size headset for the port on the phone. I just gave these to my son who has a Galaxy note 4 and they work well with that phone.Read full review...
