My kids love the 3 episodes from this Japanese anime of a bunch of hamsters and their escapades. This is clean, wholesome entertainment for the 4-8 year olds. The hamsters are adorable and those this series is almost a decade old, it still is relevant. I purchased this because it is not readily available for rent or library loan, and my kids love to watch it over and over again, and then play with the little figures and such and use their imaginations for hours. There are 6 DVD's available in English with 3 different stories on each dvd. I own Vol 1, Vol 2, Vol 3, and looking to purchase Vol 6. I havent' been disappointed by any of the first 3 Volumes. Very fun kids movie!

My kids have been reading the Hamtaro books for several years. We have several hamsters named after Hamtaro: Hamtaro, Baby Hamtaro and Super Hamtaro. When we discovered that there was an animated series, we had to get one to try!

We bought it here on eBay, and popped it in right away. The kids (4, 5, & 8) were all immediately sucked in: the theme song was catchy and the hamsters were very fun to watch. Quite often, I heard the kids giggling (is there a better sound out there than a child's laugh?) over silly little jokes or funny things the hamsters did.

There are 3 episodes on this DVD. All are very cute and have a funny overall mood, while still being able to show kids some light morals. We watch this a couple of times a week still, and every time they really enjoy it. I'm glad we got this movie! A must show for any child, be it boy or girl!!

I have purchased the 1st 3 volumes, for my sister. She ADORES them ALL. Every episode! If you have a child who loves adventure, animals, fun, and well, "a big time" This is the show for him/her. I promise you that this is a very good series.

Only wish there were more English Dubbed episodes.

I agree most of the other reviews. This is very cute & very entertaining for the target audience of 4 to 8 year olds. I do wish there were more english dubbed episodes available.

Hamtaro is an amazing cartoon

I am the Associate Children's Director at my church. It is harder than ever to find a show that is both clean and instructive. Now that I have two children of my own, I am beyond happy to find a show that covers both of the above. Hamtaro is an excellent show filled with humor and good moral story lines. I bought some Hamtaro DVDs about a week ago, and I'm so glad I did. I used to watch the show as a kid. Granted, the show is a bit silly; I mean...it's about hamsters...but it's a really cute, clean, sweet show. I'd recomend it for kids, and for nerdy adults like me. :)Read full review...
