G-1 Nostalgia
I like the G-1 vibes that this figure has. I've been a Transformer fan for years, and recently getting back into collecting. This figure makes an awesome edition to any collection.

Excellent engineering
It's an interesting take on the iconic Autobot leader. The front cab converts into Orion Pax, the younger counterpart to Optimus Prime before receiving the Matrix. The freight piece, through clever engineering, forms the body of Optimus. Once you set that up, you take Pax, and convert him into the chest portion. Once slid into that cavity, it looks fantastic. It is a very nice G1 Optimus Prime. The Orion Pax is very nice as well, and all together a fun and entertaining transformation and figure. The down side is the truck mode. If you were a child in the 80s, you probably fell in love with the "Robots in disguise". At the top of the playground Transformer hierarchy was everyone's favorite, Optimus Prime. Here, we have the 80s figure reimagined for a new generation and it's still awesome.
