Lets face it.... cars are a luxury, therefore an expense. The simple fact is, no matter how you look at it, even if your car runs perfect all the time, you still have to put gas in it to make it go. Expense! But who's car runs perfect all the time? If you have one, let me know so I can get one too! But honestly, at some point in time your car needs some attention. Whether it is the simple oil change, brakes, or something more difficult, wouldn't it be nice to do it yourself as opposed to shelling out a bunch of cash to have someone else do it for you? The Haynes line of repair manuals are perfect for the novice level and up do it yourselfers! Not only do they put the tasks in an easy to understand text, they use excellent photographs to accompany the written repair. Making this a extremely valuable asset to someone with a little motivation to save themselves some hard earned money!Read full review...

Very descriptive with good directions.

this book is very handy to fix cars or to just keep around for when you need an answer. I bought it to fix my 1995 toyota corolla, more specifically to pull the head off. This book tells you everything from a-z on how to do it. I definately reccommend it. Read full review...

On Haynes Repair Manual:

This manual provides important information for those who are do-it-yourselfers and gives higly detailed information on most repairs (some repairs should be left to a trained mechanic). There are minor details that are assumed the reader knows; for example, the 'mechanic' should know how to remove an O-2 sensor from a pigtail connection and also how to remove the center console. I cannot compare it to a Chilton's manual because I could not find one for the same year Corolla. It would be better if the manual had more pictures and if it was in color. This manual should be looked as an authoritative source. It is a great buy and can save an aspiring mechanic some money.Read full review...

Perfect book for the Toyota owner

My mother bought the corolla new in 1997 and I received it and have drove it 6 years ago.I finally gave in to getting this book, and I'm glad.It has already helped me change a belt on my car and figure out an engine code, which also led to helping me change my oxygen sensor.I haven't been through the whole book yet,but it looks like it covers everything a corolla owner would need to know.I definitely recommend this book.Read full review...

purchasing this maual made the repairing of my car so much easier and less

Purchasing this maual made the repairing of my car so much easier and less guessing. My car would not stay running so i used the trouble shooting section.I started with the most inexpensive and easiest repairs.I was so fortunate to fix the car under $20.The proplem was misgapped spark plugs and a fuel filter starting to get clogged.Thank you Haynes :-)Read full review...

Great guide!

Great product, used to fix ABS, good instructions and illustrations.
Also provides some minor diagnostics without computer or software.

Worth the money!

Very helpful tips for someone like myself who is not particularly car savy.

It could be more detailed, but I guess with the entire car to cover they have to be selective. Good buy for the do-it-yourselfer.Read full review...
