Pacino and Deniro Collide

This was what I'd been waiting for-Al Pacino and Robert Deniro in the same flick. Sure, they were both in the Godfather Part II together, but never at the same time. Very good movie, not quite classic status because of its predictability, but very good nonetheless. All-Star cast with Pacino, Deniro, Val Kilmer, Jon Voight, and Tom Sizemore who steals a lot of the scenes. The movie has an excellent story, with Deniro being the bad guy thief who you kind of cheer for; and Pacino who's the cop chasing after him, who at the same time you kind of cheer for. It just seemed like to me that I knew almost everything that was going to happen before it happened. But the bank robbing and chase scenes that follow are some of the coolest in cinema history. Reminds me of the standoff between the 2 real-life bank robbers who held up a bank in L. A. a few years back wearing body armor. Just for that it gets a firm 4 1/2 in my book, but not quite classic status.Read full review...

One of the best movies you'll ever watch.

I love this movie. The actors the plot, the direction, everything is flawlwss.I can hardly put it into words. You gotta see for yourself. The downtown shootout is a scene for the records, it's so intense you don't realize how long it actually was. It's the first movie I couldn't decided rather to root for the good guys or the bad guys. The actors give dept and personality to the charaters so that you actually like them and relate to them. This is by far one of my favorite movies of all time. I think one of the best ever made and I can't wait for the Blu-Ray version.Read full review...
