Best buy ! Sharp, solid... cold.

Shouldn't say that because prices will get higher and higher but the Helios 44-2 2/58 is more than good value for the money. Accepting you'll have to learn again playing with focus and aperture rings, you'll get sharp images with reasonably soft edges and kind of a vintage look. Once in your hand, it's cold (due to the metal build), heavier than equivalent modern lenses but definitly a pleasure to play with.

C'est un bel objet. Assez déroutant au début :la bague de diaphragme est située sur l'avant de l'objectif, elle est non crantée et de plus (et ce n'est pas une exception) elle présente la particularité d'être inversée (à F16, vous êtes ouvert). Je ne sais plus si son piqué est aussi bon ou meilleur que mon Super Takumar 55mm F1.8 et je m'en moque. Bon, attendez que je regarde un peu mon test comparatif...Oui, bon c'est vrai, plus net, couleurs plus vives, plus contrasté...Mais il doit y avoir une autre raison.Read full review...

Took awhile but it came! And it's amazing

As the title says it took awhile to get to me but the lens is in amazing condition.

Definetily worth it

Great for portraits. The minimum focus distance is about 30cm. Lens has great bokeh, lightweight so you can carry around all day. Buttery smooth focus ring. You wont regret getting this beauty of a lens. I only wish it was f1.4. SOLID BUILD QUALITY!!Read full review...
