What a wonderful movie

Director Clint Eastwood has created a wonderful movie in Hereafter. The movie is about three separate lives that are destined to collide. Matt Damon is George Lonegan a man who has physic abilities and can see everything about anyone he touches. Cécile De France is a french television reporter (Marie Lelay) who has had a near death experience and wants to tell the world about it, and Frankie McLaren is Marcus, a boy who suffers a great loss and is looking for some comfort.

(I will try hard not to spoil the movie here) The movie starts out with a bang as we are introduced to one of the characters. Then slows down a bit as the other characters are brought into the story. As the movie progresses you become involved in the lives of each of these characters and can't wait to see what happens next. The ending of the movie is a bit of a toss up as it leaves you wanting more yet at the same time you can see that it is a great place to end the movie.

Also starring in this movie are: Lyndsey Marshal as Jackie, Thierry Neuvic as Didier, Bryce Dallas Howard as Melanie, Mylène Jampanoï as Reporter Jasmine, Jenifer Lewis] as Candace, Christos' neighbor, Marthe Keller as a doctor, Jay Mohr as Billy Lonegan, George's older brother, Derek Jacobi appears as himself, Niamh Cusack as Marcus' foster mother, George Costigan as Marcus' foster father, Richard Kind as Christos Andryo, Jean-Yves Berteloot as Michel, Marie's publisher and Steven R. Schirripa as Carlos.

This is a great movie that I would recommend for everyone who loves movies.

I liked it but...

I bought Hereafter because of its otherworldy promise. In such I was a bit disappointed as it stayed mostly on the peripheral. An interesting move with terrific acting but I was expecting something else.Read full review...
