The most accurate figure of Robocop to date, does immense justice to the 1987 film
This is bar-none, the most accurate figure of Robocop available. He looks he stepped right out of the 1987 film. The hues on the armor such as purple and blue are missing somewhat but besides that, the details are all there, right down to the joint sprockets and OCP emblems engraved on his armor. My one criticism is the use of a rubber/latex like covering over his arm joints. These seem likely to wear down or rip if his arms are posed in extreme angles. I was savvy enough to read about this online from previous owners and I don't move his arms much and this is definitely a problem that sideshow needs to address in their future toys. Don't give this to a kid as it is not as durable as the action figures you can buy at Walmart for 10 bucks. This is a collector's item first and foremost.Read full review...

First off let me state I've dealt in 1/6 scale figures and collectibles for years. I even make custom figures through my company Marshall Made Collectibles. In the last two decades I've seen countless toys and over the last 10 years I've seen first hand hundreds of Hot Toys figures and collectibles. Some were hits and others not so much. This figure came into my shop and immediately was blown away. The packaging is gorgeous. The inner styrofoam is even decked out with a laser cut Robocop name and description. The accessories with this set namely the mechanical chair is beautifully done. Tons and tons of detail with switches and dials and cords not to mention montions an EKG?? All on a metal base with micro casters. Then there is the chair itself with arm rests and adjust foot plate. The amount of detail is stunning. Again I'm just talking about the accessory. The real hero of this set is Robocop/Murphy himself. He is a work of art. The body is a mix of diecast metal and plastic and the paint apps are so well done you will be hard pressed to tell which is which without touching the part of the body in question. The head comes with two helmets one pristine and one damaged showing Robo's exposed eye which looks incredible. To go with that helmet you get 4 lower jaws. All of them are perfect representations of actor Peter Weller's jaw line. The paint apps again here are dead on perfect. With the helmet and lower jaw options you have a total of 8 different facial looks you can display him with. An unbelievable amount of personal customization. You also get two chest plates which are magnetically attached. Again one pristine and one damaged allowing even more looks and options. The detail and paint apps are incredible. Included are 2 Auto9's which are directly taken from the movie. What is the Auto9? It's a heavily modified 9 mm Beretta that Robocop uses. These guns are both beautifully done one in plastic with removable clip the other in diecast metal which fits perfectly in the leg holster of the right leg. Yes just like in the movies Robo's right thigh opens up to reveal his leg holster where he stores his handgun. So again Hot Toys gives you the option of displaying the figure holding his gun or storing it or you could have Robo reaching for his weapon. You could literally hold this figure in hand and constantly find detail upon detail. For a 1/6 scale collector this is pure eye candy joy. If you are a child of the 80's and a Robocop fan...
well this just became your Grail and you should write Hot Toys a love letter. Now like the late night TV commercials, BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! Yep we aren't done the figure comes with multiple hands. Some nicely detailed fists and two articulated hands. These hands each have individual finger articulation. Um...can someone show ThreeA one of these hands so they can learn how to do this correctly?? You also get a data spike hand. If you have no clue what this is? Well, it's from the movie, if that doesn't help think what it would look like if Wolverine gave you the bird. He also comes with a high gloss stand with the OCP logo. Beautifully done. Now people complain that it's easily scratched. To avoid that put little rubber silicone feet on the bottom of Robo's metal feet, or you can put a screen saver type plastic over the stand top. Personally I put the little silicone feet on Robo's feet. A .49¢ mod that protects your stand and you will never see them and you will never scratch you high gloss stand. Finally the gimmick....what there is more??? Oh, yeah. Robo comes with 3D name plate that takes 3 watch batteries (which are included) the name plate has a little on and off switch. This is your Robocop remote! Because along with all of Robo's amazing features he also has one last awesome feature. You get a OCP magnet post. You put this to Robo's back and you can remove a plate. Under this plate you will find a battery door. Open this up and place 2 "N" size batteries. Turn Robo's switch to "on" replace the plate then hit your BO on your name plate and Robocop proceeds to spout out quotes taken directly from the movie. To hear Peter Weller's voice coming out of this little 1/6
Plastic and Metal Masterpiece telling me "Come with me or there will be...trouble." honestly made me squeal like a little girl.
So is this a "Get??"......God yes! Even if you not a Robocop fan and just a collector of 1/6 scale or Sci-fi pieces this is a must. Will it go up in value? Without a doubt. One day this will be a high dollar Hot Toy piece. If you are a Robocop fan you don't need me to sing its praises....because chances are you already own this. Right now the prices are lower then retail so it's the time to snag this. There is a version without the chair if you want to save some $ but if you can score this set for $250 or less like I did....you need to pounce! You won't be sorry...unless you pass it by and then try to buy it later.
