Ignition Coil Pertronix 40001

40,000 volts of awesome!!!

Even though you can use this with points type ignition and it is an excellent replacement for a stock coil, I purchased this item to go with my Pertronix ignition conversion kit.

Honestly, this is a no brainer when it comes to coils, the stock coil on most vehicles with a breaker point ignition system doesn't put out 40K volts and we all know that more/hotter spark is better in so many ways even if all you are doing is replacing the coil, you'd get benefits from this coil, in my case, I intended to get the benefit of the better coil and a product that was manufactured by the same people who make my ignition conversion kit.

more fire power

my 283 chris craft engine was running rough so I changed from points to the pertronix ignitor, much better idle. before changing from my stock coil to the flame thrower coil I set my idle at 1000 rpm. I started the engine and gained 600+rpm just by changing from stock to the flame thrower, got to be burning the fuel better and hopefully give me more miles per gallon.Read full review
