Excellent compilation of Essential Must Haves.

This is a well balanced compilation of the groups hits and other non hits, but equally good songs from films or b-sides that covers 1988 to 2003. This would complete a very excellent package of REM if you happen to own the Eponymous single CD compilation of their independent hits from the early years.

I always thought their albums were a bit uneven to enjoy the whole thing, but this makes up for that in the way it almost collects every single song I liked from those albums. So now I don't have to go out and buy each individual album to get just the songs I liked. The only knock I have against the disc is it's packaging. The plastic sleeve that houses the booklet and discs is very loose which causes the discs to slide out too easily, but it's no big deal, at least it's eco-friendly because there's not a lot of plastic to it.Read full review...

REM did a great job putting together a bunch of their greatest recordings here. The bonus disc has a few treats as well sure to please the hardcore fan. I am getting excited to see them down in Florida and then again this summer in PA! R.E.M. limited edition 2 disc set

I absolutely love this 2 disc set. This limited edition also comes with a mini poster of the band members and it looks very vintage. It also comes with a mini booklet with a description to which why they picked each song on the album/how they came up with the song. I love the songs on both CDs and the live songs on disc 2 are clear and sound like your at the show/venue. Great purchase for any music lover especially REM fans.Read full review...
