Ordered this because I am custom rebuilding a laptop and swapping its AMD and integrated cpu board with an Intel motherboard that has a G2 socket. Haven’t been able to test yet because Mobo isn’t with me yet but it was packaged very well in a nice clamshell and bubble wrapped! All the pins look great, and chip looks clean, some leftover thermal paste but that cleans up easy/better to do installed on the board.Read full review

Nice upgrade of a celeron CPU but heats up very quickly ...

Was easy to install and a nice upgrade in speed compared to the origial celeron CPU.
It does however have some HDMI (GPU) problems now and then, probably to do with the CPU heating up too fast..>
Cooling solutions are not easy to change due to the nature of the CPU being for mobile use.
And yes replaced the cooling paste and cleaned it before so.. it is a heating solution configuration issue.

Great ! Replaced my i3 on HP G7 laptop

It worked well. I replace an i3 cpu with this i5 to my HP G7 17 inch laptop.

Using this as a workstation with 3 monitors , so total of 4 screens.

Running about 12 Chrome tabs websites, outlook, video calling , Excel sheets, word docs and this CPU is not hitting 100% use like the i3 and AMD A10 did.

Gave new life to an older laptop

Upgraded from Intel i3 to Intel i5 (an OEM option) for a little speed boost, that along with some additional memory, an SSD swap, and a new keyboard (coffee spill) has the laptop humming along nicely. Doesn't seem like such a boat anchor any more and keeps some e-waste out of dump for a few years more. Read full review

It preforms significantly better than my celeron I had installed. I wasn't ready for installing it so I didn't know I had to reset the computer. It was fine though. The computer performs fine and works in a lot of games fairly well for a intel igpu. The only problem was the package. It came in a inadequate packaging and could have been easily bent. Great Upgrade to a slow processor.

Awesome processor. It really gave my computer a boost from the original Pentium 2020M. Installation was simply after I had to take my laptop completely apart to get to the CPU socket.

Works Great

Everything went well. The Laptop was a little more difficult then some but very doable. The CPU had no bent pins but the thermal grease was left on and it was pretty messy.

A pin came bended

CPU came with one of the pins bended. I fix it by pulling gently with a small flat head screwdriver. Other than that, it works great.
