My HP M1270n CPU heat sink cracked and pulled away from the processor causing it to overheat and go bad. I bought a heat sink and CPU on E-Bay and repaired the computer to as good as new. Without these parts I would have had to spend many dollars on a new computer. For under $100 total for both parts and about 10 minutes of my time I now have my computer back. how to tell if its a bad heat sink or bad prossor

in most cases when the heat sink is bad and or old the cpu will go into a overheat stag at start up. but when a prossor is bad you will see a burn spot or even a whole in it. this is a good way of telling if your prossor is bad or not!!!Read full review...
