Another fine addition to a well written series of Irish life!
Irish Country Girl is yet another story about medicine a while back when medicine in Ireland was based on rural practices, and how it fit into a small town (albeit fictional, though I'm sure it is a mirror of other small Irish towns.) The book series (Irish Country doctor Series) is like a "All Creatures Great and Small" for human doctors rather than animals! It is very entertaining and they have a set cast of characters that are believable, amusing and entertaining. Plus you definitely get a feeling for life in a small town in Northern Ireland.

It will transport you to a magical place in time.
This is one of the best books I have read that includes Fairies and all sorts of mystical creatures. I was so sad when it came to an end as I had to say goodbye to all the wonderful characters who drew me in to their world .Read full review...

An Irish Country Girl
Very enjoyable and an easy read. Patrick Taylor captures the flavor of Northern Ireland while telling a comfortable story of how life was lived 50 years ago. A sit in a cozy chair with a blanket read.
If you have irish roots....
My mother grew up in Ireland in the area where these stories take place. I originally bought the series of books for her and I have also started reading them. They are wonderfully delightful stories and give one an insight into the culture of the Irish people. I am thoroughly enjoy them.Read full review...
Was glad to have found this book
I bought the book because it was a series of five books by Patrick Taylor. Couldn't find it in the store but it was on E-Bay. I loved the book and have bought more from E-Bay.
