Jade Empire: Special Edition

A excellent game and very easy to play. It has a very rich story and gameplay, unlike in the video games of today.

Jade Empire is a Great Game

I really enjoyed Jade Empire. Normally I hate it when RPGs are simplified at all, but this game was simplified in all the right places. The leveling process is quick and easy, you don't really buy any new equipment except for training and medal powerup things, combat is pretty easy but still fun. The dialogue and plot were typical to bioware, if not better than normal; you can expect a deep complex story with plenty of choices.

The atmosphere was another great selling point for me. All the environments were really detailed, pretty, and had a distinct asian feel to them. Also the game in general seemed a lot like a kung-fu movie which is a very nice change from the countless LOTR ripoffs (not that I don't enjoy them but still, they get old). Overall this is just a very well-made game that I think is underrated.

Don't buy

The special features is very misleading. There is no capturing property, building fortresses, training students, etc. Those features are one of the reasons I bought the game, and I'm very disappointed.
The game specs are also ridiculous. After you install the game, it did a system sweep and tells me that my monitor driver is out of date, although I have a new XP Laptop. The only way I could improve was to drop another several $100 for a gaming video card, although I've never had this problem with other games.
I want my money back.

Best Game Ever Made!

The graphics are excellent. The choice of characters, that you can play, are well thought out and diverse. Smooth transition between frames. The story line has depth and character. I felt like I was immersed into this world in all aspects. The choices of how I wanted to play the game (ie: open palm vs closed fist and anywhere inbetween) and how that affected my choices was exciting. This game was the most enjoyable game that I have played in twenty years. Wish they would have time to make a sequel. I understand that it took a long time to design this game but I am willing to wait. I originally played this on xbox and then bought the pc special edition. Since then I have encouraged the people around me to play this game to their enjoyment as well.Read full review...

Jade Empire (Special Edition)

Great game with easy combat style. Fast paced action at times and a good storyline. All in all this game was a good addition to my RPG collection and I have enjoyed this game on the XBOX. Definitely would recommend this older game to anyone who likes to play games where your actions can determine the course of the game. You can choose to be good or bad in this gam while trying to train up on new combat styles.Read full review...

visit the Jade Empire

Game was kept me entertained for a few day. No crashes, no glitches, just great. Will play again latter at the higher game settings. Bioware seems to always put out a quality product.

awesome!

I bought this because it's a great game! The product was packaged nicely and it was almost like new. The game itself was quick to load and worked on business laptops. It is a good game even though it is slightly outdated.Read full review...

Jade Empire Rocks, THE PC SE version == Major Buff

I was in need of some Action-RPG gaming and I couldn't think of much else that would quench my thirst, besides Bioware's Masterpiece. Thank You
