It's fantastic!
!st off, I'm a big Jagged Alliance gamer since 2004. I've gotten others interested in this game as well. I purchased the Gold Pack, due to someone stealing my Astro Van, with the game's CD in the cargo area. Now I have 2 copies for safe keeping, so I'll never have to suffer withdraws from NOT playing. This game has many ways to play, & designing your character to be, ( for instants, Stealth & Lock picking,) & become a 99 marksman like Linx & Scope. Then you can export your character over to J A 2 Unfinished Business & finish as a 101 marksman. My secret is I'm a former Staff Sargeant of the 82nd Airborne. They just don't make games like these anymore
This game does look a bit dated. Yet, the gameplay is superb. Many players nowadays shy away from turn based games and games that do not offer a 3D environment. Even though Jagged Alliance 2 has a lot to offer.
Squad based tactical combat game differ a lot from Command and Conquer style strategy games. In squad based games you prefer to give no losses, combat is more personal and you have to think like hell.
What I like about this game is the details that make it closer to reality. If you shoot through a window the glass shatters. Bullets ricochet and may still strike an opponent. Another nice thing about this game is that once you free an area you have to keep it free.
A word of warning, combat can get extremely difficult, which is good if you like a good challenge.Read full review...
awesome product great value for money
great for old time gamer's and newbies alike, will get to the end one day, a think persons game which although is a shoot'em up must be played with some planning
